Wow3D Printer (http://www.newstarway.com/)
Don't turn the power off with the printing bed at the top! The bed will crash to the bottom
Supposed to be an Afinia H480 clone (http://www.afinia.com/3d-printers)
Looks a lot like http://3dprintingsystems.com/products/up-plus-3d-printer
Windows 7
- driver installs as "Free Motion Card : 3D Printer@FreeMotion"
- 3D Printer "UP! Plus/60629"
Problems noticed so far...
- printers did not ship with North American plug
- Windows software from Afinia.com installs malware
- No assembly or calibration instructions included.
- One printer, the vertical axis is broken, judders when trying to rise.
- if print fails, you need to power-cycle printer and restart software, otherwise next print fails and steppers overheat.
- Up software and Afinia Software would not recognize printer on Simon's Win 7 box. Looks like drivers are missing
- Mac software seems to default to a ridiculous amount of supports
- Adhesion to the print bed seems very poor. Probably an extrusion-temp issue. Simon looking at how to tweak.
3D Modeling
- Blokify looks interesting. But it's ipad only and has in app payment for more features.
