Mark has a friend who is retiring . Mark has suggested that he come do workshops in exchange for a membership. He can teach tool use and safety instructions - He could give us instruction sheets. He is very skilled. This suggestion seemed popular.

There is a space in the Old Quebec Street Mall where community can collaborate on projects and display items that relate to sustainability or community development I suggested that Gryph get a document together that outlines what groups may be able to work together and I will send it to the board.

Social and Environmental Justice Symposium

OPIRG-Guelph’s Social and Environmental Justice Symposium is a convergence of academic and community research, activism, and art focused on social and environmental justice issues. We are aiming to make research more accessible to all and to foster deeper relationships and idea sharing between academics and community activism. Our goal is to support the development of research that is useful to community based campaigns and projects working for social change and fostering a space for this exchange to take place. We would like to encourage opportunities for students and community members energy and work to be useful ..
